Two kinds of light novel, two right answers
A light novel is either text (EPUB, reflowable, use Calibre or Send to Kindle and be done) or images (scans and page PDFs, which need per-screen rebuilding). Knowing which one you hold saves you from converting something that never needed it.
Send to Kindle and file size
Send to Kindle accepts EPUB (Amazon dropped MOBI from it in 2022) but caps emailed files around 50MB. A scanned volume with inserts often exceeds that, so plan on a USB copy for the big ones.

Should I convert my text EPUB light novel here?
No, and we mean that. A reflowable text EPUB already works on every reader; Calibre handles any format shuffling and Send to Kindle takes EPUB directly. This converter is for page images, where those tools cannot help.
What about the colour illustration inserts?
They convert alongside the text pages: contrast-tuned so they stay legible on a greyscale e-ink screen, kept in colour for colour devices. Nothing gets dropped or reshuffled.
My scan reads badly on my Kindle. Will this fix it?
