Terms of Service

MangaConverter is operated by Nils Leo, Reinacher Zeile 12, 12205 Berlin, Germany (support@mangaconverter.com). By using mangaconverter.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

MangaConverter converts digital comics, manga, and PDF files into e-reader-compatible formats (EPUB, MOBI, CBZ, etc.). You upload a file, we process it, and you download the result. Output files are deleted within 24 hours. We do not permanently store your files.

• Legal ownership. You may only upload files you have the legal right to convert. This includes files you own, files distributed under a licence that permits format-shifting, or files in the public domain. Do not upload files you have pirated or do not have the right to copy.
• No illegal content. You may not upload files containing illegal content (e.g. child sexual abuse material, content that is illegal in Germany or your country of residence). We will cooperate fully with law enforcement if required.
• No abuse. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer the service, upload malware, probe for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation, or use automated tools to submit large volumes of requests.
• Account security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

German copyright law (§ 53 UrhG) permits private copies for personal use. Format-shifting (converting a file you legally own to another format for personal use) is generally permitted under this provision. MangaConverter is a tool — you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable copyright law in your jurisdiction.

If you hold the rights to a work and believe a file was converted here without your permission, tell us and we will act. Send a notice to support@mangaconverter.com including:

• The work. Identify the copyrighted work you say was infringed.
• The file. The specific URL or download link you are complaining about, precise enough for us to find it.
• Your contact details. Name, address and an email address we can reply to.
• A good-faith statement. That you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
• A statement of accuracy. That the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

On a valid notice we remove the material expeditiously. If your notice is incomplete we will tell you what is missing rather than ignore it.

Please note the 24-hour window. Every uploaded and converted file is deleted automatically 24 hours after conversion. In practice most files are already gone before a notice could reach us — there is usually nothing left to take down. We can only remove what still exists.

It is also worth knowing what this service is not: we host no library, offer no search, and publish no files. Converted files are stored privately — they are not listed, indexed, or searchable, and are reachable only through an unguessable, time-limited link.

A free tier is available without payment. We may impose fair-use limits (such as a maximum number of conversions per month) on free accounts and reserve the right to adjust these limits with reasonable notice. Paid accounts (Pro) are governed by the plan description presented at the time of purchase.

Pro plans are billed in advance. Prices are shown in your local currency where available, and include applicable taxes where required. The currency shown at checkout is the currency you are charged in. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase with no recurring charge.

Right of withdrawal. EU consumers have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for digital services purchased online. By starting a subscription and using the service before the 14-day period expires, you acknowledge that the service has been provided and agree that the right of withdrawal is forfeited in accordance with § 356(5) BGB and Art. 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive. If you have not used the service, you may request a refund within 14 days by emailing us.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance and unplanned outages may occur. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, processing errors, or the deletion of your files after 24 hours.

Conversion results depend on the quality and format of your input file. We make no warranty that the output will be perfect or suitable for your specific e-reader. Many different comic and manga formats exist and edge cases may produce suboptimal results.

To the extent permitted by German law, our liability is limited to cases of intent (Vorsatz) and gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit). We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the service or inability to use it. This does not affect statutory consumer rights under German law.

You may delete your account at any time in account settings, which permanently removes your account and conversion history. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with immediate effect where required by law or safety concerns.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect for active paid subscribers, and by a site notice for free users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The place of jurisdiction for disputes with merchants or entities without a general place of jurisdiction in Germany is Berlin. EU consumer dispute resolution: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not required to participate in consumer arbitration but are willing to seek amicable resolution by email.
