Convert a whole Drive folder of manga

Plenty of manga libraries live in Google Drive: chapters synced from a phone, series shared between devices, backups of a collection. The planned Drive integration skips the download-then-upload round trip: point the converter at a folder, and every CBZ, CBR and PDF in it converts in one go, with your device profile applied to all of them. We are being straight with you: it is not live yet, so this page does not offer it.

Today the path is manual but works: download the chapters from Drive to your machine (or phone), then drop them into the live converter, which queues up to 20 files at a time. The round trip is the annoyance the planned feature removes; the conversion itself is the same either way.

What the Drive integration will do

  1. Connect Drive, scoped to what you pick

    A Google sign-in with folder-level consent: the converter would see the folder you choose and nothing else in your Drive.

  2. Point at a folder

    Every comic archive in it is listed, chapters detected and ordered, ready to convert as one batch with shared settings.

  3. Convert without the round trip

    Files stream from Drive to the conversion servers directly, so a 3GB series never has to pass through your phone’s storage or data plan.

  4. Until then: download and drop works today

    Pull the chapters from Drive and use the live 20-file queue. Same engine, same output; the difference is the manual hop.

Honesty first

Cloud integrations earn trust through scope discipline: the feature arrives with folder-level consent and a visible file list before anything converts, and not before that works.

The live queue covers the conversion today

The 20-file queue with shared device settings is live, so a Drive library is a download away from converting right now. The integration removes the hop, not a limitation of the converter.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert straight from Google Drive right now?

Not yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. The integration is planned. Today you download from Drive first, then convert with the live queue, which handles 20 files per round.

How much of my Drive would it see?

Only what you grant: the plan is folder-scoped consent through Google’s picker, not blanket Drive access. A converter needs the folder you point it at and has no business seeing anything else.

What happens to the converted files?

Like every conversion here, outputs are yours to download and auto-delete from our servers after 24 hours. Whether finished files can be written back to Drive is an open design question the roadmap entry tracks.

Will you announce when it is ready?

Yes. When the Drive batch ships it goes live on this page and the tools hub links to it. You can vote for it on the roadmap in the meantime.

MangaConverter runs on Kindle Comic Converter (KCC), the open-source engine, for the conversions that are live today. The Drive batch is a planned intake path into that same pipeline, and this page will host it honestly once it works.
