Calibre users

Why KEPUB instead of EPUB on a Kobo?
A KEPUB opens in Kobo’s native reader rather than the generic EPUB renderer, which means faster page turns, working reading stats and the comic-optimized viewer. The Kobo profiles here output KEPUB by default; plain EPUB is still available if you prefer it.
Does it keep manga reading order?
Yes. Manga mode preserves right-to-left page order and the preview shows it before you convert, so the page-turn direction on the Kobo matches the original layout.
Which Kobo models are supported?
All of them, from the Mini and Touch through the Nia, Clara HD, Clara 2E and Clara Colour, the Libra H2O, Libra 2 and Libra Colour, to the Sage, Forma and Elipsa. Each profile carries the model’s true resolution.
What about color manga covers on a Libra Colour?
On the color models (Clara Colour, Libra Colour), covers and color pages stay in color while the grayscale interior is contrast-tuned for e-ink. On grayscale Kobos everything gets the same careful gamma treatment.
