Reverse page-turn direction for manhwa and left-to-right comics packaged manga-style
Some files read left to right but were packaged the manga way, so on the reader every page turn goes backwards: the story is in the right order inside the archive, the reader just walks it in the wrong direction. Manhwa, manhua and original English-language comics that passed through a manga-first tool are the usual cases. This page presets the reverse page-turn direction option, which flips the direction the converted file tells the device to turn.

How to reverse the page-turn direction
Drop the file that turns the wrong way
Drag in a CBZ, CBR, ZIP, RAR, 7Z, PDF or EPUB. Queue the rest of the series if every volume came from the same source; the setting applies to each.
Reverse page-turn direction is already on
The option is preset. It reverses the direction the output file asks the reader to turn in, which is the fix for a left-to-right book packaged in manga order.
Walk the preview
Step through the first few pages in the preview. The pages should advance in story order with the turn you expect. If they do not, the file is the plain case: switch this option off and turn manga mode off instead.
Convert and download
Pick your device profile, convert, and download EPUB, MOBI, KEPUB or CBZ. The direction is written into the file, so it reads the same on every reader you copy it to. Files auto-delete after 24 hours.
When this is the wrong page
A manga that should read right to left but does not is the other way round: it needs manga mode on, not this option. The manga right-to-left page covers that case, and the preview on either page shows which setting a given file needs.
One file, one check
Files from the same scan group tend to be packaged the same way, so check the preview on the first volume and queue the rest with the same settings. A different source can be packaged differently; check again when the source changes.
Frequently asked questions
My manhwa turns pages backwards on my Kindle. Is this the fix?
It is one of two. If the volume was packaged in manga order and reads left to right, this option reverses the turn and fixes it. If it was packaged normally and only the direction was set wrong, turning manga mode off is the fix. The preview tells you which: whichever setting walks the pages in story order is the right one.
Is this the same as turning manga mode off?
No. Manga mode decides whether the output reads right to left or left to right. Reverse page-turn direction flips the turn on top of that, for a file whose pages were packaged in the opposite order from how the book reads. They are two separate controls and the preview shows the effect of each.
Does it change the order of pages inside the file?
It changes the direction the reader turns, not the sequence of images in the archive. Nothing is renumbered or moved; the pages stay in the order they arrived.
Does webtoon mode need this?
No. Webtoon mode always reads left to right and disables the direction controls while it is on, because a vertical strip has no page order to reverse.
Will the fix hold on a Kobo as well as a Kindle?
Yes. The direction is part of the converted file, so a file that turns correctly on one reader turns correctly on any other. Pick the Kobo profile instead of the Kindle one and download KEPUB or EPUB.
