Manhwa to Kindle
Manhwa gets mangled by manga-focused converters for one simple reason: direction. Korean comics read left-to-right, like a western book, while manga tools love to force right-to-left page turns. Convert a manhwa with manga mode on and every page turn lands backwards. Here the default is correct for manhwa: manga mode stays off and the reading order your translator intended is the one your Kindle uses.
The other manhwa quirk is that the format lives a double life. Older and print-first series come as classic pages; modern series are often webtoon-style vertical strips. Both convert here: paged chapters are resized straight to your Kindle's screen (the default preset targets the Paperwhite 5 at 1236 x 1648), and vertical strips are sliced into clean screen-height pages first.

Leave manga mode off
It is off by default, and for manhwa that is right: page turns stay left-to-right. The toggle exists only for Japanese manga.

Send to Kindle accepts the EPUB output but rejects files over roughly 50 MB, and it dropped MOBI in 2022. Long collected volumes are better transferred over USB, which has no limit.
Mixed-format series
Some long-running manhwa switch from print pages to vertical strips mid-series. You can queue both kinds together; each chapter is analyzed and processed the way its images require.
Frequently asked questions
Is converting manhwa any different from converting manga?
One setting: direction. Manga needs manga mode on for right-to-left turns; manhwa reads left-to-right, so the mode stays off. Everything else, resizing, greyscale, previewing, works the same.
My series is webtoon-style vertical strips. Does that still work?
Yes. Tall strip images are sliced into Kindle-screen-height pages, with cuts placed in the gaps between panels so the story still flows page by page.
What happens if I turn manga mode on by mistake?
The output gets right-to-left reading stamped into it, so your Kindle turns pages backwards for a left-to-right book. Just reconvert with the toggle off.
Which Kindle should I pick if mine is not a Paperwhite 5?
Any model works: the preset list covers every Kindle generation with its true resolution. The Paperwhite 5 (1236 x 1648) is only the starting selection on this page.
