CBZ to MOBI
Before you convert a CBZ to MOBI, one honest question: does your Kindle actually need MOBI? Amazon dropped MOBI from Send to Kindle in 2022, and every recent Kindle is happier with EPUB. MOBI still earns its keep in exactly two situations: an older Kindle that side-loads MOBI directly, or an established USB workflow built around MOBI files that you do not want to rebuild.
If that is you, this converter does the job properly. Your CBZ (a ZIP of page images) is unpacked in the browser, every page is resized and contrast-tuned for the specific Kindle model you pick, and the result is a MOBI that opens and pages like a real Kindle book. If it is not you, the EPUB preset is one click away on the same page.

Free, no install, built for your exact Kindle
How it works
Drop the CBZ in
The archive is unpacked right in your browser, pages in order. Up to 20 files at once, 1GB each, up to 1000 pages per file.
Choose your Kindle model
MOBI is a Kindle-only format, so there is no generic output size. Pick your device (a Kindle 11 is 1072 x 1448, a Paperwhite 5 is 1236 x 1648) and pages are built for that exact screen.
Preview the pages
A live preview shows the converted pages before you commit, so you can check lettering size and panel splits and adjust settings without converting twice.
Download and side-load
Copy the MOBI to your Kindle over USB. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI, so USB transfer is the route; the upside is USB has no file size limit. Outputs auto-delete after 24 hours.
MOBI is legacy, and that is fine
MOBI is on its way out: Amazon stopped accepting it via Send to Kindle in 2022 and steers everyone toward EPUB. But older Kindle hardware does not care about roadmaps. If your device reads MOBI, a properly built MOBI with pages sized to its screen beats a generic EPUB it may struggle with.
A CBZ is closer to MOBI than you think
A CBZ is just a ZIP of images, so the hard part of this conversion is not unpacking, it is page building: resizing print-resolution scans to e-ink dimensions, fixing contrast for a greyscale screen, and wrapping it all in a fixed-layout MOBI. That page work is what this converter actually does.
Frequently asked questions
Should I still be converting to MOBI in 2026?
Usually not. Modern Kindles take EPUB through Send to Kindle and render it well. Convert to MOBI when you have an older Kindle that reads MOBI natively, or a side-loading setup you want to keep as-is. Otherwise pick the EPUB preset instead.
Why do I have to pick a Kindle model instead of just "MOBI"?
Because MOBI only exists on Kindles, and a page built for one screen looks wrong on another. The converter targets your actual device resolution rather than exporting a one-size-fits-nobody file.
How do I get the MOBI onto my Kindle?
Over USB: plug the Kindle in and copy the file into its documents folder. Send to Kindle rejects MOBI since 2022, but USB transfer works on every Kindle and has no size limit.
Can I convert manga CBZ files with right-to-left reading?
Yes. Turn on manga mode and right-to-left reading is stamped into the output, so page turns go the correct direction on the Kindle.
