Manhwa gets mislabelled as manga by most tools, and the label matters: Korean comics read left-to-right, so a converter that blindly applies the right-to-left manga page turn puts every page in the wrong order. Full-colour art on e-ink screens
Manhwa is mostly published in full colour. For a greyscale e-ink device the pages are contrast-tuned so colour shading maps to distinct grey levels; on a colour reader the original colour is preserved. Both come out of the same conversion.
Exact screen sizes beat generic exports
A basic Kindle wants 1072 x 1448 pages, a Kobo Clara a different size again. The device profile rebuilds each page to those pixels, so lettering stays sharp instead of being scaled twice, once by the converter and once by the reader.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need manga mode for manhwa?
No. Manga mode flips the page turn to right-to-left for Japanese releases. Manhwa reads left-to-right like a western book, so leave the toggle off; the default already has it off here.
My manhwa is one long vertical image per chapter. Does that work?
Yes. That is the webtoon-style release shape, and the converter slices each tall strip into screen-sized pages at gaps between panels instead of asking your e-reader to render a skyscraper.
What format should a Kobo owner pick?
KEPUB. It unlocks Kobo reading stats and the faster comic renderer, which matters on image-heavy books. Kindle owners take EPUB; Send to Kindle has accepted EPUB since Amazon dropped MOBI from it in 2022.
What does converting cost?
