Which Kindles Work with Kindle Comic Converter? All of Them
Kindle Comic Converter supports every Kindle via device profiles — Basic, Paperwhite, Scribe, Colorsoft and older models. Which profile and format to pick.
Kindle Comic Converter works with every Kindle — the question is only which device profile and output format to pick. KCC (the free, open-source converter at github.com/ciromattia/kcc) doesn't talk to your Kindle at all; it produces a file built for your Kindle's exact screen resolution, which you then transfer by USB or Send to Kindle. That design is why compatibility is essentially universal: as long as a profile matches your screen, the output fits.

Every Kindle is supported. Pick the profile that matches your model — Kindle 11 (1072 x 1448), Paperwhite (1236 x 1648), Scribe, Colorsoft — convert to EPUB, and deliver via Send to Kindle or USB. Why the device profile is the whole game
E-ink Kindles don't resample images gracefully. Feed a Paperwhite a page sized for a tablet and it shrinks it with muddy results and wasted margins; feed it a page built for exactly 1236 x 1648 pixels and every panel uses the full screen at native sharpness. The profile sets that target resolution, plus the greyscale and contrast handling e-ink needs. Picking the right one matters more than any other setting — if your pages ever look tiny or soft, the profile is the first thing to check (more fixes in Why is my manga blurry on Kindle).
Current Kindle models and their profiles
Profiles available in the browser version at MangaConverter (checked August 2026):
- Kindle (11th gen, 2022) — 1072 x 1448, 6". The entry-level model.
- Kindle Paperwhite (5th gen and later) — 1236 x 1648, 6.8". The most common manga Kindle.
- Kindle Scribe — the big 10.2" screen; great for spreads and small-print seinen.
- Kindle Colorsoft — Amazon's color e-ink model; color covers and color pages survive conversion.

Older Kindles: still fine, different format
Kindles from before Amazon's 2022 format switch don't accept EPUB via Send to Kindle — some don't accept email delivery at all. They still work with KCC output; you just convert to MOBI and copy the file over USB:
- Convert your CBZ/CBR with a profile close to your screen resolution — see CBZ to MOBI.
- Plug the Kindle in; it mounts as a USB drive.
- Drop the file into the
documentsfolder.
USB has a second advantage on any Kindle, old or new: no file size ceiling. Send to Kindle's email route caps out around 50MB (checked August 2026), which thick manga volumes exceed easily — details in Send to Kindle file size limit.
Getting the file onto a modern Kindle
For any current Kindle, the flow is:
- Convert to EPUB with your device profile — CBZ to Kindle is the direct route.
- Send it via the Send to Kindle app, website or email address, or copy it over USB.
- For manga, make sure manga mode was on during conversion so page turns run right-to-left; direction can't be fixed after the fact.

There is no Kindle that KCC can't produce a file for. Match the profile to your screen, use EPUB for anything recent and MOBI over USB for the pre-2022 models, and the pages will come out sized for your device instead of squeezed onto it.
